Clement and Aaron's story began in 2016 with a chance encounter on Hinge. Messages were exchanged, and despite initial logistical challenges due to work travel, the two scheduled their first date: drinks at Copa D'Oro in Santa Monica. Aaron showed up slightly tipsy but this did not deter Clement, as he was drawn to Aaron’s vulnerability, and the sparks flew. The two spent all of their first date talking about interests, life, and their values. There was rarely a quiet moment, and the two excitedly scheduled their second date.

Date two was a yoga class at Equinox West Hollywood the very next day, followed by lunch, before Aaron had to fly internationally. This marked the beginning of a whirlwind romance that had the couple connecting every day via phone from Austria, California, Singapore, Mexico and Wisconsin, until they were once again physically reunited, four weeks later.
